Interior Design in Motion Design District – 2013 Interior Design Event – Zaandam
Posted on | June 14, 2013 | No Comments
On the 6th, 7th and 8th of June for the second year, the interior design event – Design District was held in Zaandam. There are many interior design events held throughout the year in Europe. They are generally enormous and feature major designers from around the world. This was smaller and more intimate, but still offered the opportunity to see great design. The biggest impact on me this year was Dutch design. Some truly impressive pieces really caught my attention. From lighting to furniture, the style and craftsmanship was of a very high standard. And of course, you cannot have an interior styling event without Scandinavian designers. They are always at the top of their game with presentations of unique pieces that remain timeless, functional and beautiful. Many of the distributors in the Netherlands have showrooms either in or, near Zaandam. Mini was one of the sponsors, there where drivers available to take you directly to the showrooms to see more. The setup of arranged transportation was fantastic. As an interior stylist, I love finding unique and very special pieces. Design District provided a chance to do just that.
