A novelty in Amsterdam‘s fitness landscape, few workouts seem a natural extrapolation of its citizens’ bike lifestyle than Rocycle. Founded by Rogier van Duyn and Roxy van der Noordt, two veterans in the field of healthy lifestyle, they’ve introduced a boutique fitness concept that offers 45 and 60-minute spinning classes, but one with the service of a boutique hotel. Located just outside the Dutch capital’s renowned canal district, it occupies a spacious 400 sqm. ground floor unit of a newly erected building, and features an interior that reflects the venue’s forward concept. The clean, uncluttered lobby is light and bright, featuring large windows and a translucent wall with changeable LED texts. A sleek unisex locker space allows for an efficient change between classes. A branch of The Cold Pressed Juicery is cleverly embedded in the concept, offering clients – yes, indeed – cold pressed juices, teas and puddings, but also the opportunity to mingle before or after class.
