Accessories That Make a Big Impact

One of the things that I love so much about my work is finding accessories that are unusual and fun. If you take the time to really look you can come up with some great little items to accessorize you living space. Recently, I came across an ashtray in the shape of a bathroom sink! Amazing. Later in the same week I found a clock made from an old vinyl LP. An Alessi cream coloured metal bowl in the shape of cards put together (found it in a nordic interior design shop)! The little jewels and finds you come across when out and about is great and it does not have to cost you major money. Just take the time to really browse through little shops off the beaten path. Not everything has to be from a very expensive store – you can even find little pieces in rummage sales or second hand shops. It’s not always about the price, it’s about what draws you in. I have always said that your living space represents you and your style. So the next time you are out and about, have a browse in little off the path shops you would normally not think about going into. You will be surprised at what the results can bring!

“Coming from San Francisco, I moved to Amsterdam as part of following my passion to experience life in another country. Amsterdam had an appeal that I absolutely loved. That same passion lead me into interior styling. Being able to create a look for a space is the best feeling. It is a challenge at times finding exactly what works and what doesn’t, but that is all part of the journey. Being able to bring to reality a look that is special and unique is the creative process in motion. It’s what I love doing.”
