Marie-Stella-Maris Archives Opens In Amsterdam

The opening of the Marie-Stella-Maris Archives store in Amsterdam’s scenic canal district was more a meticulously planned surprise than it was a secret. Forward consumers were already familiar with the Dutch water brand which allocates a percentage of its revenues to clean water projects across the globe. But little did they know that with the opening of an eponymous store, the brand would actually launch a cosmetics line. Featuring a black and white colour scheme, the store interior draws inspiration from classic cinema billboards. A back-lit wall boldly states the United Nations’ resolution on the human right on clean water and sanitation, referencing the good cause that’s embedded at Marie-Stella-Maris’ business model. It also serves as a backdrop for the new unisex cosmetics line of no less than 120 skin, body and hair care products. Produced in Sweden and stylishly packaged, the product range is made from natural ingredients. It’s totally geared towards a contemporary lifestyle and also includes scented candles, linen water and room sprays. And speaking of lifestyle: the shop’s basement section accommodates a cozy little café which serves coffee and tasty bites.
