Fendi Celebrates its London Flagship with Kids Company

Italian fashion house Fendi asked 10 powerful women of British backgrounds to redesign their iconic Peekaboo bag in celebration of the fashion house’s new London flagship, Two versions of each bag were made, one for the guest designer and one to be auctioned off in honor of Sotheby’s for Kids Company charity, an advocacy foundation for abused and traumatized children based in the UK. The designers include Gwyneth Paltrow, Georgia May Jagger and her mother Jerry Hall, architect Zaha Hadid, Cara Delevinge, Adele, Naomie Harris, artist Tracey Emin, fashion illustrator Tanya Ling, and journalist Kate Adie. The London flagship opened may 1st.
From May 1-30 the auction will go live in collaboration with Sotheby’s. , the 10 exclusive Peekaboos will be sold through a dedicated online auction on fendi.com
“We wanted the auction to be open to everyone,” Ms. Fendi said. “It’s such an exciting project that it was important for it to exist online over the course of a month in order for its reach to go beyond those present just for the opening.
