Red Velvet Cake Deliciousness

Our absolute favourite dessert, in-between-sweet or ‘just because it’s delicious’ is: red velvet cake. Time to share a very nice recipe with you.


250 grams butter
600 grams raw cane sugar
6 eggs
2 tablespoons red food pigment
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
375 grams white flour
250 ml. buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon vinegar


400 grams creamcheese
350 grams white chocolate
250 grams butter


Preheat the oven at 170°C. Grease three 20 centimeter tins and sprinkle with flour.


Beat 250 grams of butter combined with the sugar in a big bowl until it’s creamy. Add the eggs one by one and keep beating. Mix the food pigment with the cocoa and add this to your mixture. Add the flour and buttermilk followed by the vanilla and salt.
Mix the baking soda with the vinegar and stir gently through the batter. Don’t stir too much! Use the three baking tins and devide the batter. Bake 25 minutes in your preheated oven. Let your cakes cool afterwards.

Melt the white chocolate au bain marie. Beat the creamcheese in a big bowl until it has a light and airy texture. Gently add the melted chocolate and soft butter to the creamcheese until it has a whipped cream texture. Fill and frost the cake. ENJOY!
