Turkey to Go At The Midtown Grill- Marriott Hotel Amsterdam

The holidays are upon us again. Where did the time fly this year? Earlier this week we had the opportunity to attend a ‘turkey tasting’.  Yes, a real turkey tasting with all the trimmings offered by Midtown Grill located within the Marriott Hotel, located just off Leidseplein in Amsterdam. The Midtown Grill is a steak house that offers up a star class variety of top quality steaks, chops and seafood with an American flair.  Their most recent venture, being introduced from the November 26, is called ‘Turkey to Go’. As Thanksgiving is a huge holiday in the US, many ex-pats living here in Amsterdam can take advantage of this new idea.  Although not a recognised holiday here, more and more Dutch are being introduced to this American concept either through friends or, partners that come originally from the big pond. What Midtown Grill offers is a complete turkey dinner prepared for take-away.  The Thanksgiving menu consists of:

Whole baked turkey
Sweet potatoes
Mashed potatoes
sauce
Winter vegetables
Cranberries
Pumpkin pie
Dinners can be prepared for up to 8 persons thus, allowing you an opportunity to share a traditional feast in your own home.
You also have the choice of dining at the restaurant itself on the 28th of November Thanksgiving day to enjoy a great turkey feast.  So if you are looking for a way to celebrate this American tradition here in Amsterdam, look no further – enjoy!

Thank you Linden & Barbosa and Amsterdam Marriott Hotel for inviting us to participate in such a lovely event.

“Coming from San Francisco, I moved to Amsterdam as part of following my passion to experience life in another country. Amsterdam had an appeal that I absolutely loved. That same passion lead me into interior styling. Being able to create a look for a space is the best feeling. It is a challenge at times finding exactly what works and what doesn’t, but that is all part of the journey. Being able to bring to reality a look that is special and unique is the creative process in motion. It’s what I love doing.”
