Esther Dorhout Mees presented her new collection, La Bellé Époque during the 19th edition of the Amsterdam Fashion Week. Esther made of her show a unique fourth-dimensional experience, in addition to the clothing, the film and music, also to add a smell for every different design. So we could even more experience the intense collection of Dorhout Mees. Her inspiration comes from a poetry album from 1800. She recently inherited the album from her great-grandmother.
Dorhout Mees is distinctive in her own elagant style, it’s feminine and conceptually, portability is always an important element. The basis of all collections are subtle prints, silk, wool and delicate knits. This combined with the portable making unconventional materials. Expose of the female body is Always the starting piont. Inconsistencies in structures, silhoutte and textures are the essence of the collecties.
