Sir Mic feat Jasmine Knight // Live Like This

Bournemouth based multi-genre rapper / lyricist Sir Mic teams up with fast rising singer / songwriter Jasmine Knight to kick off 2012 with a brand new anthem titled ‘Live Like This’.

Renowned for his distinct and diverse style, Sir Mic has long possessed the ability to seamlessly venture into a whole host of musical genres. The popular south coast rapper has previously released three mixtapes (Mini Me Vol 1, 2 & 3), featured on Clubland Smashed (the UK’s biggest dance music compilation series), featured alongside the likes of Jadakiss, Joell Ortiz and Ruste Juxx on British hip hop producer Stealf’s debut album and performed alongside the likes of Tinie Tempah, So Solid Crew, DJ Cameo and DJ Semtex on the live performance circuit.

He continued this success in 2011 with an impressive string of releases, including his online smash singles ‘I Ain’t Going Anywhere’ (featuring Cynikal & Jasmine Knight) and ‘I Can’t Help It’ which clocked up over 30,000 views collectively online.

The third single from Sir Mic sees the diverse lyricist team up with long time collaborator Jasmine Knight to present a record which is as credible as it is commercially friendly. Produced by DJ Tempa and driven by a melancholic acoustic guitar riff, the track sees Sir Mic break down the petty troubles and arguments which bring an end to the best of relationships. The track features some perspicuous, sharp-witted wordplay from the south coast rapper, which is accompanied by a perfectly understated chorus from Jasmine, creating one of the most captivating hip hop break-up songs you’re ever likely to hear.

‘Live Like This’ will be available digitally from Valentine’s Day (14/02/12).
