Koko clutch/World Aids Day

ethical muse, encouraging the conscious consumer to shop for a cause, helping to move children and families out of poverty.

On November 14th was the official launch of ethical muse, and the introduction of the Koko clutch, by hosting an elegant  sit down lunch on Palm Jumeirah.

With a limited edition of only 50 handbags designed to be sold worldwide,  “Koko” was the guest of honor.  The bag, made from Ethiopian, export quality leathers and a silk and cotton lining, which was hand-loomed and dyed by a fair trade silk farm in Kampala, was an instant hit! Not only because it shows the type of quality product that can come out of an emerging country, but also for what it stands for. The bag is designed in a beautiful shade of red in order to call attention to World Aids day on December 1. A portion of the profits from the sale of the bag will be donated to Global Fund, an organization committed to fighting this disease.
