Rise of the planet of the apes 2011

Voted for several prices as great movie, but also for the rotten tomatoes.. what did Bystylingamsterdam.com think of it?

During experiments to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, a genetically-enhanced chimpanzee uses its greater intelligence to lead other apes to freedom.
Directed by Rupert Wyatt

This movie is very difficult to watch for a big animal lover like I am. The story was a bit lame, you know kind of how it will end when you first start watching, but it has its surprises. To watch how humans take away the apes their freedom, screaming for their childs and life, to see how humans don’t care whatsoever about what they are doing to the apes will make you shiver with disbelieve. Of course we know that some animal testing is necessary in order to find cures for diseases, but the way they are treated is just unbelievable. And as I know, not exagurated, but prettified, which makes it even worse.
The lost and found for the apes was so bizar horrible, that when you see the owners getting killed by the apes you kind of find it funny. Its so well done how they make the apes look human, with their expressions, I was very impressed with the special effects in this movie, and how the feelings of love between animals, but also animals and humans are expressed.
This movie is very very hard, and not for the romantics! Although.. my partner – admitted, he has done animal rescue in Ecuador, and is a HUGE animal protector – and I both decided to move to the jungle and cage the poachers ourselves!
